Welcome to DigiLocker – Citizen’s Digital Document Wallet
DigiLocker is your personal digital document wallet where you can safely store and access your authentic documents directly from the issuer. It is available for both Android and iOS users. You can simply download the DigiLocker app and have a paperfree document access anytime, anywhere by means of your mobile phone or PC.
But before you start using your DigiLocker app, you’ll need to create an account.
You can sign up with:
- Mobile number + Aadhaar: Access to Drive and issued authentic documents, which means that you can access the documents that you have saved, as well as those which have been issued to you directly from the authority. The authenticity of such documents is never questioned.
- Only Mobile number: Access to drive only, meaning that you will only be able to access documents that you have. Please note that the documents in the drive are not considered authentic, you might be asked to present proof by the authorities you’re presenting it to.
How To Sign Up?
To sign up, go to https://www.digilocker.gov.in/ enter the following details:
- Full name,
- Gender,
- Mobile number,
- 6 digit security PIN,
- Email ID, and
- Aadhaar number, if you wish to access your authentic documents directly by the issuer.
Click Submit. You’ll be taken to your DigiLocker Dashboard.
Store your documents safely in the Drive, get the documents directly from the issuer and access them whenever you want, wherever you want..
