DigiLocker: Promoting Paperless Governance
DigiLocker is a cloud based document storage and issuance system. It eliminates the usage of physical documents as you can carry all the important documents on the DigiLocker app. Download the app on your mobile phone. Your mobile number or Aadhaar number will be authenticated by an OTP that you will receive. You will be required to set your PIN for security purpose. Once the sign up is completed, you can get the documents from the issuers or simply store it in your DigiLocker.
What is E-SIGN Feature?

- Store signed copies of the documents using the e-Sign facility
How to digitally Sign or e-Sign your document in DigiLocker?
STEPS:
- Sign up on DigiLocker
2. Click on DigiLocker Drive
3. Select any document
4. Click on the 3 dots and choose the e-Sign option
5. The e-Sign service page will open up
6. Fill in the required information i.e. Aadhaar Number and Aadhaar OTP and click on Consent
7. Click on submit button
8. Now your document is digitally signed by you
