Today I will guide you to create your DigiLocker account.
There are two types of DigiLocker accounts Verified and Non-verified.
To create a verified DigiLocker account you must have an Aadhaar card.
A non-verified DigiLocker account can be created using only a mobile number.
I suggest you create a verified DigiLocker account to use DigiLocker services like issuing authentic documents to your account and access to a DigiLocker drive.
But, if you opt for a non-verified account (without Aadhaar) you can only use DigiLocker drive to upload the documents.
To create an account on mobile install the DigiLocker app from Google Play Store/play store for android or ios devices.
For the DigiLocker web application, you need to go to https://www.digilocker.gov.in/ and enter your full name, gender, mobile number, 6-digit security PIN, email ID, and Aadhaar number, if you have one, and Submit.
Your account is created!
Depending on your account type you are avail of a different set of services from DigiLocker.

For non-verified users DigiLocker provides :
DigiLocker Drive
DigiLocker provides you DigiLocker drive of 1 GB of free space to upload your documents. This service is available for both verified and non-verified accounts.
Note: The documents in the drive are not considered authentic. You might be asked to present proof while presenting it to the authorities.
